As one of Australia’s fastest growing industries, there are plenty of opportunities to build a rewarding career in the Care sector, with an additional 83,000 workers needed by 2024.
With an increased demand for Disability Support Workers in Perth, Crosslinks has numerous opportunities for you to join our team. We are currently recruiting Disability Support Workers with various levels of training and experience to take advantage of our unique Fast Tracking a Skilled Workforce (FTSW) initiative.
“It really shows that Crosslinks really values their employees. So, I kind of feel like because of getting this opportunity I’m not really interested in going anywhere else for a job. I like it when employers do that kind of stuff.”
– Fiona, Support Worker
So, what is the FTSW initiative?
Crosslinks Disability Support Services in Perth recognises the importance of upskilling their employees. With the FTSW initiative, employees are eligible to apply for selected certificate III and IV, and diploma courses as part of their employment with us. As you complete existing employee training, these learnings will fast-track you towards nationally recognised formal qualification, with costs covered by Crosslinks (subject to eligibility and terms and conditions apply).
“I was a tradie before, so I have no papers [formal qualifications] that are relevant, I just have what I know about doing my job, I know how to care for people, but now I feel like a proper professional because I have that bit of paper to prove what I know.”
– Dave, Support Worker, Crosslinks
FTSW provides a unique opportunity for Disability Support Workers to expand their skills, which they’ll continue to benefit from throughout their careers.
This unique and time-limited opportunity can be provided free of charge thanks to funding provided through the NDS ‘Disability Workforce Development and Retention Fund.’ Places are limited, contact our People and Culture team for more information.
