Recognising our workforce
Crosslinks partnered training providers iinduct and Bradford Institute of Advanced Education RTO 45241, as well as regional support service providers GIFSA and Midwest Community Living Association, to deliver a valuable program to recognise the importance of upskilling employees and the wider Disability Support sector workforce.
The Fast Tracking a Skilled Workforce (FTSW) initiative gave new and existing employees the opportunity to apply for selected Certificate III, IV or Diploma courses in a relevant field. This included
- Certificate III in Community Services
- Certificate IV in Community Services
- Certificate IV in Disability
- Diploma of Community services
As employees completed their existing training modules, or could display that training had already been completed during their employment, their learnings fast-tracked them towards these certifications.
Thanks to funding provided through the NDS ‘Disability Workforce Development and Retention Fund’, employees were able to complete these courses without any expenses.
This unique opportunity provided clear career pathways for Disability Support Workers to expand their skills to benefit them throughout their careers.
